Day 5 was much better driving than the previous day. The traffic and cross winds on I-80 through Iowa were a challenge on day 4. However, we survived and enjoyed a day traveling through the rolling farm lands of South & North Dakota. We stopped at a casino on the North and South Dakota state line for lunch which was excellent and very reasonable. I wanted to try my hand at the slots to help finance our trip; however, Linda had other ideas and I did not help or hurt the finances. If you are ever in the area, the casino has good campsites with W/E hook-ups for $10.50 per night. After lunch we drove on up to Grand Forks, ND where we were able to get a campsite at the Air Force Base. I think we will spend a day at the AFB to catch up on our housekeeping or I guess I should say our truckkeeping.
