We woke today to a light rain and 47 degrees. This is the first day we have driven in any rain since we left over a week ago. The roads (highway 11) in Canada have been good roads with speed limits of 100 to 110; however, I have been a little afraid to drive that fast with the TC? In this Southern part of Canada it looks a lot like ND with miles of rolling hills and farm land. We have been paying from 4.12 to 4.22 for diesel (Canadian money). The exchange rate for the dollar: an American 100 dollar bill is worth 92 dollars in Canadian money. So everything we buy we have to add the exchange rate which adds to the cost. We are staying in Edmonton tonight and will visit the West Edmonton Mall tomorrow.
We saw several campgrounds like this one along the highway in Canada. They were marked like the US marks rest areas. We stopped at a couple of these campgrounds an although there were a lot of places to set-up, we didn't see anyone at these rest areas. They had sites similar to a regular camp ground with picnic tables and fire pits. Some sites had electricity. Sites were free unless you had one with electricity which was 15 dollars. Both sites we stopped at had a central water location and outhouses.
